NCRTC Issues Advisory for Passengers Amid Protest at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has issued an important advisory for passengers traveling on the Namaste Bharat train due to a planned protest by various political parties at Jantar Mantar on October 10. As a precautionary measure, the NCRTC has decided to temporarily close the Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar Namaste Bharat stations.

From 9 PM on October 9 until 10 PM on October 10, passengers will not be able to board or alight at these two stations. Travelers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative arrangements.

According to the passenger information released by NCRTC, there will be no services available at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar during this period. This decision aims to ensure passenger safety and maintain operational efficiency during the anticipated protest. However, train services between Anand Vihar (Delhi) and Modipuram (Uttar Pradesh) will continue as scheduled.

Passengers who had planned to start their journeys from or arrive at Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar may need to adjust their travel times and routes. The NCRTC recommends that travelers keep these station closures in mind when planning their trips and consider using alternative stations or modes of transport if necessary.

The NCRTC has urged passengers to heed this advisory to avoid any inconvenience due to the station closures. Those traveling to and from Delhi on October 10 are particularly advised to allow extra time and make alternative travel arrangements to reach their destinations.

It is noteworthy that the protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10 is expected to address issues related to the special intensive revision of the voter list and allegations of vote theft. This event has prompted the temporary closure of the Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar Namaste Bharat stations.
