High Alert in Delhi-NCR Ahead of CJP Protest, Tight Security at Chilla Border

Noida, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Noida have ramped up security measures in anticipation of a protest organized by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP). Both Gautam Buddha Nagar police and Delhi police are on high alert, particularly at the Chilla border and other major entry points into the capital.

Concrete barricades have been erected at the border to prevent any potential disturbances. Police are also monitoring local businesses closely and using drones for comprehensive surveillance. Officers on the scene have stated that these measures, including the installation of iron barricades alongside the concrete ones, are aimed at bolstering security. Additionally, three companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) have been deployed to strengthen the security presence.

Since morning, vehicles heading towards Delhi have been subjected to rigorous checks, leading to long queues and slow traffic at the border. In response to the situation, authorities have invoked Section 163 to maintain order. Enhanced monitoring is also in place at all metro stations, particularly in sensitive areas and around local businesses. Drones are being utilized to ensure swift action against any suspicious activities.

A significant number of paramilitary forces and Delhi police personnel have been stationed at the Chilla border. A large notice has been posted at the barricades, informing the public about the enforcement of Section 163 for their safety. The notice warns demonstrators against gathering for protests, rallies, or any form of public assembly without permission. It also states that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate these regulations.

Security forces have set up a large tent at the border to oversee the security arrangements. Vehicles are being stopped and checked due to the barricades, and police are managing traffic flow. Authorities have urged travelers to avoid heading towards Delhi unless absolutely necessary and to check traffic conditions before traveling. Security agencies are continuously monitoring social media and sensitive areas to ensure public safety remains intact.
