
Dehradun, June 20: The NEET (UG) exam is scheduled for June 21. To ensure a peaceful, transparent, and fair examination process, the Dehradun police have initiated extensive security preparations. Following directives from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Dehradun, the Superintendent of Police (Crime) and the Superintendent of Police (City) briefed all police personnel assigned to examination duties at the Dehradun police lines.
In preparation for the exam, police officials instructed all zonal police officers to conduct prior inspections of examination centers. They must ensure that control rooms, jammers, and CCTV cameras are set up on time. Additionally, the functionality of these devices will be checked to prevent any technical disruptions during the exam.
Senior police officials stated that on the day of the exam, all zonal officers will visit their respective examination centers four hours before the scheduled time to assess security arrangements. They will ensure that all necessary preparations for a fair examination are completed.
Special emphasis was placed on the physical security of examination centers. Officers were directed to inspect the walls and boundaries of all centers. If any center’s boundary is found damaged, immediate notification to higher authorities and the respective principal will be made for necessary repairs.
A sufficient number of police personnel will be deployed at the examination centers. Each candidate will undergo thorough checks and frisking as per the established procedures before being allowed entry. Officials clarified that no unauthorized individuals will be permitted inside the examination centers.
To further strengthen security, mobile police teams will be stationed around the examination centers. Their primary objective will be to monitor suspicious individuals and take immediate action against any dubious activities.
Additionally, all station heads have been instructed to regularly inspect hotels, roadside eateries, guest houses, and dharamshalas in their respective areas. Verification of guests will be conducted, and inquiries will be made regarding any suspicious individuals staying before or during the exam period to ensure necessary legal actions are taken.
