Mumbai, June 26: Renowned actress Deepika Chikhalia, famous for her portrayal of Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic show ‘Ramayana,’ is in the spotlight for her upcoming film ‘Tera Mera Nata.’
In a recent interview, she shared her thoughts on the upcoming film adaptation of ‘Ramayana,’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Deepika expressed her confidence in both actors, stating that they will do justice to this sacred narrative on screen.
“I have seen the work of both Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor, and they are exceptional artists. I am confident they will embody their characters well. Portraying ‘Ramayana’ is not an easy task, but with the right actors, it can be presented beautifully. I believe both understand this responsibility and will impress audiences with their performances,” Deepika Chikhalia remarked.
Discussing Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor, she noted, “Sai Pallavi’s acting combines simplicity and depth, while Ranbir Kapoor’s talent is remarkable. He adapts to every role effortlessly. When such strong actors are part of a mythological story, it offers a great experience for the audience.”
Reflecting on the legacy of ‘Ramayana,’ Deepika stated, “It is a great honor for me to have had the opportunity to portray such a religious character. When I played Sita, I had no idea that this role would become such a significant part of my life. The love and respect I have received from people is incredibly special to me.”
Deepika added, “Even today, many people see me as Sita. Sometimes, people bow down and touch my feet. Initially, I didn’t understand why they did this, but gradually I realized that this respect is not for me, but for the character of Sita.”
Speaking about her upcoming film ‘Tera Mera Nata,’ Deepika Chikhalia said, “This film has been made with great effort and heart. Every artist and technical team member has tried their best. I hope audiences watch this film with their families and shower it with love.”
