Mumbai, May 30: Actor Deepak Tijori has responded to the swirling rumors about his close friend and co-star from the film ‘Aashiqui’, Rahul Roy. He firmly stated that Rahul Roy is completely healthy and safe. The various reports circulating on social media and other platforms are far from the truth.
During a recent conversation, Tijori emphasized that he remains in regular contact with Rahul. He mentioned that Rahul continues to be one of his closest friends and is in good health. Tijori pointed out that often, misleading news about artists circulates, which has no basis in reality. He described this as a common issue within the film industry.
Tijori also shared his thoughts on the new home cinema platform ‘Kissa Shuru Talkies’ and the changes occurring in the film industry. He noted that he has known Santosh Shashikant Berajdar, associated with ‘Kissa Shuru Talkies’, since the beginning of his career. Tijori remarked, “I have seen Santosh continually progress and always felt he has the potential to innovate.”
When Santosh presented the idea for this platform, Tijori found it quite impressive and decided to get involved immediately. He is currently engaged in the distribution of this platform in the Gujarat region.
Tijori explained that ‘Kissa Shuru Talkies’ could be extremely beneficial for those living in villages and remote areas. Many people in these regions have to travel long distances to watch new films, often waiting months or even years for releases to reach them. This platform will allow audiences to enjoy new films from the comfort of their homes every Friday.
Regarding the platform’s fee of 99 rupees and comparisons to OTT platforms, Tijori stated, “The concept of this platform is different from OTT. I believe it is a new medium to deliver films directly to audiences. In today’s time, 99 rupees is not a large amount, and people spend much more on entertainment and other activities.”
Discussing the differences between the film industry of the 90s and today, Tijori noted that social media did not have the same influence back then. Consequently, there was less discussion about a film’s failure or news related to artists. Today, everyone has a platform to express their opinions, which causes even minor issues to become major topics of discussion.
It is worth mentioning that ‘Kissa Shuru Talkies’ is an innovative home cinema platform that claims to deliver new films and entertainment to homes in villages and semi-urban areas via a plug-and-play stick without the need for the internet. The founders and directors of this initiative are Santosh Shashikant Berajdar and Shirish Ganesh Shinde.
