Mumbai, June 7: The Union Territory of Daman, adjacent to South Gujarat, has emerged as a top destination for tourists. During the summer holidays, a significant influx of visitors is being witnessed, with crowds continuing to swell in the final days of the break.
Amidst the intense heat across the state, people are flocking to Daman’s beautiful beaches to enjoy cool breezes and entertainment. Tourists are seen relishing their holidays with family at various attractions, including Devka Beach and Jampor Beach. The stunning beauty, cleanliness, and safe environment of the beaches are particularly appealing to visitors.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several development projects during his recent visit to Daman. In his address, he compared Daman to Singapore, stating that the region is rapidly advancing in tourism and development.
Many tourists visiting Daman seem to validate the Prime Minister’s claims. They express that Daman is emerging as a ‘Mini Goa,’ offering a fantastic, safe, and budget-friendly vacation experience. Tourists have also expressed gratitude to PM Modi for the development initiatives in the area.
After enjoying the beaches during the day, the nightlife in Daman is also captivating tourists. DJ nights, attractive lighting, various adventure activities, and entertainment programs on the beaches are major attractions for visitors.

Tourist Khushboo Mahida shared, “It was very hot where we are from, but the atmosphere here is pleasant. PM Modi recently visited and mentioned the development here, which prompted us to plan our trip. This is our first time here with family. We have been to Goa, and this place is no less than that. The development and cleanliness are impressive. The DJ nights, attractive lighting, and various budget-friendly adventure activities are great.”
Another tourist, Kalpesh Bariya, mentioned, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport here a few days ago, boosting tourism. The development of Devka Beach and Jampor Beach is commendable. The night shows are excellent, and we had a lot of fun. I believe visiting here is within budget and much better than Goa.”
