New Delhi, August 3: The remarks made by Congress MP Pramod Tiwari regarding “Who was Sita?” have sparked significant backlash from spiritual leaders across the country. They assert that the Congress party has historically opposed Sanatan values, a sentiment echoed in Tiwari’s recent comments.
Tiwari accused the BJP of serious misconduct related to donations for the Ram Temple. During this discourse, he also made controversial remarks about Prime Minister Modi.
In response to Tiwari’s statement, Sant Varun Das commented that Tiwari, despite being a senior and respected Congress leader with a legal background, appears to lack adequate knowledge about Lord Ram’s life and the Ramayana. He emphasized that the Ram Janmabhoomi is the birthplace of Lord Ram, where Ram Lalla is worshipped alongside his four brothers. For those wishing to visit Lord Ram and Mata Sita, he suggested going to the Kanak Bhawan Temple, where the divine couple resides after their marriage.
Mahant Vishnu Das stated, “The Congress party is against Sanatan Dharma and Lord Ram. When Prime Minister Modi visited the Ram Temple, why didn’t he mention Sita-Ram? They do not see Sita-Ram because their minds are not pure. Tiwari’s comments are entirely false and should be condemned, leading to social ostracism. Bharat cannot tolerate disrespect towards Mata Sita and Lord Ram.”
Mahant Deveshacharya remarked, “His statement is highly condemnable. He is regarded as a Brahmin, an intellectual, and a respected politician. Such comments are unfortunate. If he wishes to see Mata Janaki, he should visit Ayodhya, where the Ram Temple is dedicated to Ram Lalla, who resides with his four brothers. Ayodhya has many significant places associated with Mata Janaki, and we would gladly facilitate his visit.”
Mahant Sitaram Das from Saket Bhawan expressed, “Pramod Tiwari seems to have lost his mental balance. His leaders are against Lord Ram, the nation, and Sanatan Dharma. Those who adopt foreign cultures should be sent abroad. They are anti-Ram and anti-national. Individuals opposing Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma deserve public condemnation.”
