Motihari, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : A troubling incident has emerged in Motihari, Bihar, where controversial slogans were found scrawled on the outer wall of the historic Gandhi Museum. The situation gained significant attention after a video of the slogans went viral on social media, prompting local discussions.
Upon learning of the incident, police from the Nagar Thana quickly arrived at the museum and erased the offensive messages. Among the slogans was a particularly provocative statement labeling the RSS as a “terrorist organization.” Following a thorough examination of the site, authorities initiated an investigation.
During their inquiries, police apprehended a painter identified as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Delhi Sarai in Motihari. Reports indicate that he resides near the Narsingh Baba Temple. During the arrest, officers recovered a can of paint and a brush from him.
In his statement to the police, Kumar alleged that he was hired by two individuals who arrived in a Fortuner vehicle. They reportedly paid him to write slogans on the walls of the Gandhi Museum and the civil court, among other locations. The police are now working to identify these individuals and understand their motives behind commissioning such messages.
Investigators are focused on uncovering who was behind this act of vandalism at a site of historical significance and what their intentions were. Authorities have begun conducting raids at potential locations linked to the suspects. Meanwhile, the offensive writings on the walls of the Gandhi Museum and other affected sites have been removed, and the investigation continues based on the information provided by the arrested painter.
