Contestant Shares Humorous Story with Amitabh Bachchan on KBC 18

Mumbai, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the 18th season of the quiz reality show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” Contestants from various parts of the country participate, sharing personal stories during the game.

Recently, contestant Almas Khan from Jaipur recounted a childhood memory to Bachchan. She revealed that she had bought a ticket to see his film “Mrityudata,” but fell asleep during the screening. When she awoke, the movie had already ended.

Almas shared, “I want to tell you a story related to your films. There is a beautiful theater called Raj Mandir in Jaipur, where many big films are released. When I was young, I went to see ‘Mrityudata’ with all my cousins.”

She continued, “That was my first film in a theater. When the film started, to be honest, I didn’t understand it very well. But the place was so beautiful and the air conditioning was nice, so I fell asleep. When I opened my eyes, the movie was over, and your song was playing. But I did see your film first, sir.”

Bachchan chuckled at her story and humorously asked, “How did you watch the film while sleeping? When you woke up, the picture was already finished, right?”

“Mrityudata,” released in 1997, marked Bachchan’s return to the big screen after a long hiatus. Directed by Mehul Kumar, he played the role of Dr. Ram Prasad, a respected surgeon. The film also featured Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, and Arbaaz Ali Khan in significant roles.

Produced by Bachchan’s own company, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL), the film’s music was composed by Anand-Milind. One of its popular songs, “Na Na Na Na Re,” featured the voice of Daler Mehndi.
