Bhopal, August 4: A construction company in Madhya Pradesh has been implicated in submitting a fake bank guarantee. This revelation has led to the filing of a case at a police station in the state capital, Bhopal.
Official sources indicate that the Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company (MPUDC), a government agency, has taken a firm stance against financial irregularities. An FIR has been lodged against the contractor responsible for presenting the fraudulent bank guarantee at the MP Nagar police station in Bhopal.
The company submitted the bank guarantee through a joint venture involving South Gujarat Construction Company Private Limited and Engineering Professional Company Private Limited for the execution of four construction packages.
Doubts regarding the authenticity of the submitted bank guarantee prompted the MPUDC to conduct a thorough investigation, which confirmed that the guarantee was entirely fake. Given the seriousness of the matter, the Urban Administration and Development Commissioner, along with the Managing Director of MPUDC, Sandeep Bhondwe, instructed officials to initiate legal action against the contractor and file an FIR without delay.
In compliance with these directives, a formal case has been registered at the MP Nagar police station. The police have begun an investigation into the contractor, focusing on charges related to fraud and the deceitful transfer of money, property, or valuable documents.
Managing Director Sandeep Bhondwe emphasized that any irregularities, fraud, or submission of fake documents in departmental processes and government operations will be treated with utmost seriousness. Legal action will be ensured against those found guilty.
