New Delhi, May 28: On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid), top leaders of the Congress party extended their warm wishes to the citizens of India. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, along with MPs Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, expressed their hopes for unity and brotherhood.
In a post on the social media platform X, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote, “The festival of Eid-ul-Azha reflects timeless virtues such as sacrifice, faith, compassion, and forgiveness. I hope this auspicious occasion inspires us to deepen the spirit of brotherhood, strengthen the bonds of unity, and work together towards building a society founded on peace, harmony, and shared progress. Eid Mubarak to all, filled with joy and blessings.”
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi shared, “Wishing you and your family a joyful Bakrid. May your home be filled with love and warmth. Eid Mubarak.”
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also conveyed her wishes, stating, “Eid-ul-Azha Mubarak to everyone. May this joyous occasion bring peace, love, and prosperity to every home. I wish happiness, blessings, and a spirit of unity and brotherhood for all.”
Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan remarked, “Bakrid brings forth the eternal message of sacrifice and selfless devotion. The values it nurtures should reflect in our daily lives and guide society towards humanity and compassion. May the spiritual light of our festivals empower us to face every challenge with courage and hope. Eid Mubarak to all.”
Congress leader K.C. Venugopal also extended his greetings, wishing for compassion and brotherhood. In his post on X, he wrote, “Heartfelt wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. May this festival symbolize compassion, brotherhood, and joy in our society.”
