New Delhi, August 31: Senior Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit has voiced his concerns regarding the ‘purification’ controversy in Haldwani and the issues faced during the NEET-PG examination in Jaipur due to power outages.
In response to the Haldwani controversy, Dikshit stated, “I am not fully informed about this. However, this is an issue we have raised for a long time. If you recall, during the ‘Sankalp Sabha’ event, someone asked Kharge about it. When Kharge responded, there was a deep pain in his voice. Honestly, that moved me. He did not say much, but a profound sense of pain was evident.”
Dikshit further remarked that it is unfortunate that leaders from Uttarakhand are defending the situation, claiming that certain slogans were raised. He emphasized that to assert this as a reason for the purification is misleading, and the term ‘purification’ is widely understood in its context.
Regarding the power outage issues during the NEET-PG 2026 in Jaipur, he commented, “You could say there was a management issue or that the power went out. However, that is not the main concern. The real issue is that we are questioning the entire NEET system. Everything has been centralized. I have also come through this system. I chose my college after visiting nearly ten colleges, and I did not face as much struggle as today’s students do. You are providing a system where students are left confused and frustrated. On top of that, you are introducing an entry process into this education system that no one trusts anymore.”
