Lucknow, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : Ajay Rai, the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, has raised pointed questions regarding the government’s handling of the Ram Temple fund controversy. Speaking in Lucknow, Rai criticized Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s recent statements about job creation, asserting that the administration excels only in deception rather than delivering employment opportunities.
Rai emphasized that the public deserves clarity on the Ram Temple fundraising issue. He challenged the Chief Minister’s claims of transparency, questioning whether any actions have been taken against key figures like Champat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Govind Giri, who are alleged to have misappropriated funds intended for the temple.
With elections approaching, Rai accused the ruling party of making false promises and misleading the electorate. “These individuals will promise jobs and give false assurances, but the public is ready to defeat them. Their credibility is waning,” he stated.
As the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections draw near, Rai highlighted Congress’s commitment to engaging with the public across the state. He mentioned that the party is actively visiting areas where the government is perceived to be oppressing citizens, including Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Sultanpur.
In a related development, Iqbal Ansari, a former litigant in the Babri Masjid case, responded to actress Swara Bhasker’s comments regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi verdict. Ansari affirmed that the court’s decision to construct the Ram Temple has been respected nationwide, asserting that there have been no disturbances following the ruling. He urged people to move beyond past grievances, emphasizing the importance of unity among all communities in Ayodhya.
