Congress Leader Criticizes PM Modis Foreign Visits and Domestic Policies

Mumbai, June 14: Congress leader Hussain Dalwai has responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent trip to France, among other issues.

In a conversation, Dalwai stated that since Modi took office, he has been traveling the world. However, he questioned the outcomes of these trips, asserting that India’s foreign policy has failed. He criticized the government’s role in the conflict between the U.S.-Israel and Iran, claiming it has been misguided.

Regarding allegations of double standards against opposition leader Rahul Gandhi by CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby, Dalwai remarked, “There is a political battle between Congress and CPI(M) in Kerala. In such situations, Congress will play its role. This does not mean Rahul Gandhi is making mistakes; he naturally supports his party.”

On the disagreements among TMC legislators and MPs, Dalwai commented, “This is happening everywhere. They are in power and often harass people. Agencies like the ED are used to intimidate. Criminal actions are taken, causing some leaders to feel pressured to switch sides. All these leaders are acting out of self-interest.”

Regarding the Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs’ meeting, Dalwai expressed skepticism about any significant shifts, stating, “I don’t think anything like that will happen. These MPs were elected because of Shiv Sena. Moreover, the ‘India’ alliance has provided substantial support, especially from Congress. If they want to switch parties, they should resign first.”

On the controversy surrounding comedian Pranit More’s comments about biryani, Dalwai stated, “His remarks were completely inappropriate. They disrespect women. Such statements on stage are unacceptable. We still do not view women as equals in society; this is very wrong and needs to change.”

Commenting on the Karnataka government’s decision regarding the legal drinking age, Dalwai praised the move, stating it is a positive step for the youth.

On the alleged irregularities at the Shri Ram Temple, he said, “Arresting one person will not solve anything. There has been significant wrongdoing; where was the government during this time? Misconduct is being carried out in the name of Shri Ram.”

In response to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s defense of Dattatreya Hosabale’s statement, Dalwai said, “I believe it is appropriate. The policies of the Pakistani government are not fully accepted by its citizens. I visited Pakistan once and saw that many people there are discontent with their government. There are also individuals in Pakistan who wish to befriend India.”

Regarding Sanjay Raut’s derogatory remarks about PM Modi, Dalwai emphasized that such comments are inappropriate coming from the Prime Minister. He criticized Modi for numerous mistakes, including damaging the economy and undermining communal harmony.
