CM Yogi Visits Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj at Medanta Hospital, Prays for Speedy Recovery

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath meets Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj, chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. The CM inquired about the spiritual leader’s health and spoke with doctors overseeing his treatment.

Health condition of Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj

Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj was admitted to Medanta Hospital following a sudden deterioration in his health. He was brought in an unconscious state and diagnosed with an intestinal infection causing severe diarrhoea. He was immediately admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where doctors continue to monitor his condition closely.

Earlier, in September last year, the Maharaj’s health had also worsened, requiring hospitalisation. Since 2019, he has been battling multiple health issues, including urinary problems and difficulties in eating, leading to several hospital admissions at Medanta over the past four years.

About Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj and his contributions

Born on 11 June 1938 in Kerhala village, Mathura, Nrittya Gopal Das Maharaj is the head priest of Maniramdas Chhawni Temple and the chairperson of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. This trust, established by the Vishva Hindu Parishad in January 1993 after the demolition of Babri Masjid, manages the construction of the Ram temple.

He has played a significant role in the establishment of important temples in Ayodhya, including the Ramayan Bhavan, Shri Ranganath Temple, and Shri Char Dham Temple. His active involvement in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement spans several decades.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared the update of his visit and prayers for Maharaj’s quick recovery on the social media platform X, expressing hope for his early return to health.
