CM Yogi Approves ₹4,901.65 Crore Development Projects in Gonda

Gonda, June 19: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Gonda again on Friday, just 13 days after his last trip. During his two-hour program, he reviewed presentations of proposals submitted by representatives from 33 assembly constituencies. A key focus was improving connectivity to the revered Maa Pateshwari Shakti Peeth and other religious sites.

CM Yogi approved the development of 13 major routes connecting the Maa Pateshwari Devi Shakti Peeth in the Devipatan division, Swami Narayan Temple, and Makhauda Dham in Basti, along with other significant religious locations. Over 1,000 development projects totaling ₹4,901.65 crore received approval. He also reviewed public works department projects at the Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium, discussing new work plans with local representatives.

During the meeting, he assessed the progress of road and connectivity projects in Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich, and Shravasti districts. He emphasized connecting rural areas to main roads, reconstructing dilapidated roads, strengthening access routes, and overseeing construction related to bridges and other infrastructure.

The Chief Minister directed officials to complete pending projects in a timely manner. He received updated progress reports on various development initiatives and inquired about the status of the pothole-free campaign. Under the Chief Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana, 810 projects were approved, with an investment of approximately ₹1,472.83 crore. This initiative aims to construct 1,602 kilometers of roads in rural areas, enhancing connectivity. More than 50 roads will undergo widening and repairs.

CM Yogi reviewed presentations of development projects worth around ₹50 crore for each assembly constituency. He discussed the status of these projects with representatives, prioritizing proposals focused on road repairs for better connectivity and smooth traffic in urban and rural areas. Infrastructure projects were also included in the discussions. The Chief Minister reviewed ongoing development projects in backward and aspirational block areas.

He approved the construction of two state highways, improved connectivity to major industrial areas, 81 minor bridges, and seven large bridges. To enhance traffic management in urban areas, he sanctioned bypass roads and overbridge projects. He also instructed the implementation of road safety measures in the Devipatan division and approved the construction of 12 helipads in rural areas.

Additionally, he sought updates on special repair works for the Hardaupatty access road, the Katra Bazaar Panditpurwa Nahwa Parsoura via Khajuha access road, the widening and strengthening of the Subhanpur Belwanohar road, and the special repair work for the Hattipurwa to Kudhiyaan access road.
