Patna, July 2: Union Minister and National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, has stated that strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty in the high-profile Bharat Tiwari death case after the investigation is complete.
He emphasized that the misuse of law against any innocent person under the guise of an encounter will not be tolerated. In a conversation with reporters on Thursday, Paswan remarked, “I firmly believe that whoever is guilty will not be spared once the investigation concludes. No one has the right to take the law into their own hands. If an innocent person has been shot under the pretext of an encounter or if the law has been misused, our government will not tolerate it.”
He insisted that the investigation should be allowed to proceed without interference. Regardless of how influential or high-ranking the accused may be, action will be taken based on the facts that emerge. Paswan mentioned that a delegation from his party has already met with the victim’s family and conveyed the information to the Chief Minister.
He also stated that he will personally meet with Bharat Tiwari’s family on Friday, and any new information obtained will be presented to the Chief Minister. Responding to allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav against Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Paswan asserted that making political accusations without completing the investigation is inappropriate.
He reiterated that the Chief Minister has already made it clear that a fair investigation will take place and action will be taken against the guilty. Therefore, it is not right to politicize the issue by directly accusing the Chief Minister. Regarding the issue of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi vacating her government residence, Paswan remarked that government accommodations are not permanent and must be vacated according to regulations.
Paswan commended Rabri Devi for respectfully accepting the government’s decision to vacate the residence. He noted that he has also gone through the process of vacating a government accommodation and understands such situations well.
