Beijing, February 26: The Ministry of Commerce of China, along with six other departments, released a revised version of the ‘Encouraged Import Service Catalog’ on February 25. This updated catalog now includes ‘Other Professional Services‘ and ‘Medical and Health Services.’
The ‘Other Professional Services’ category encompasses green building engineering, low-carbon design, evaluation, certification services, and supply chain management services. Meanwhile, the ‘Medical and Health Services’ section includes medical services related to serious illnesses, as well as rehabilitation and health promotion services.
Additionally, some topics within the encouraged import services have been adjusted, removing services that do not require an increase in imports. Improvements have primarily been made in areas such as digital technology development services, technical testing and analysis services, and resource utilization services.
The ‘Encouraged Import Service Catalog’ was first issued in 2016, with adjustments made in 2019. The Ministry of Commerce has once again revised it in 2024.
