Dehradun, April 8: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asserted that the people of West Bengal are eager for a Double Engine government. Speaking to the media in Dehradun, he noted a wave of change among the electorate, who are looking to replace the current government.
Dhami criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, describing it as operating like a syndicate and fostering an atmosphere of fear. He emphasized that there is deep disappointment among the populace, who desire a government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that embodies the concept of a ‘Double Engine’ for development.
He stated that once a Double Engine government is established in West Bengal, there will be no fear or corruption, but rather a new era of development, trust, and good governance. According to Dhami, only the BJP government under Modi’s leadership can fulfill the dream of a ‘Sonar Bangla.’
Regarding the Char Dham Yatra, CM Dhami mentioned that all government plans and public needs must be addressed promptly and with high quality. Preparations for the pilgrimage are already underway and progressing well, ensuring a successful Char Dham Yatra.
He reviewed the status of announcements made for the Tharali, Karnaprayag, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag assembly constituencies at the secretariat. The Chief Minister reiterated that resolving public issues is the top priority for the state government. He urged officials to maintain continuous coordination with public representatives to address citizens’ concerns.
Dhami emphasized the need for special attention to health and education in mountainous regions. He called for timely availability of helicopter ambulances and continuous improvements in health facilities in remote areas. He instructed that any construction-related proposals needing transfer between departments should be expedited, with accountability for delays.
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Secretary to organize a comprehensive review meeting, considering the challenges posed by the monsoon. He stressed the importance of completing flood control measures on time.
He also instructed officials to ensure that all preparations for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra are completed promptly. Regular meetings with the hotel association should be held to address issues related to commercial cylinders, ensuring robust arrangements for the pilgrimage.
