Noida, April 8: In an effort to enhance transparency and organization in the gas distribution system, the District Magistrate conducted an unannounced inspection of the Shiv Sai HP Gas Agency located in Ghaghola village on Tuesday. During the visit, the official thoroughly assessed the agency’s operations and issued several important directives.
The District Magistrate verified the physical stock of gas cylinders available at the agency. This included matching the number of cylinders, their capacities, and the stock registers. Additionally, various records maintained by the agency were reviewed to ensure they were properly managed. The inspection also focused on whether the distribution process adhered to established standards.
The official examined the vehicles involved in the transportation of gas cylinders, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety regulations. Expressing dissatisfaction over the late arrival of the warehouse in-charge and the identified shortcomings, the District Magistrate instructed the relevant officials to implement immediate corrections. The condition of the CCTV cameras installed in the agency premises was also inspected.
The District Magistrate ordered that all cameras be kept operational, stating that any negligence in security measures would not be tolerated. Furthermore, upon noticing a lack of adequate police presence at the agency, instructions were given to the station in-charge to ensure sufficient police deployment for security purposes.
Following the inspection, the District Magistrate provided clear directives to the officials and agency management, stressing that transparency, safety, and consumer convenience in the gas distribution system must be prioritized. He urged that all arrangements be strengthened to prevent any inconvenience to the public.
Present at the inspection were Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ashutosh Gupta, the agency manager, and other staff members. It is noteworthy that on April 2, 2026, the district administration had issued guidelines regarding the supply of commercial gas cylinders, allowing up to 70% gas supply to commercial consumers based on their needs.
However, this facility is available only to those consumers who have applied for PNG gas connections. The administration has appealed to all commercial establishments to provide details of their gas usage from the previous financial year along with documents related to their PNG connection applications to ensure a smooth supply process.
