Mumbai, April 8: The landscape of Bollywood and digital platforms is evolving rapidly. Audiences now have the freedom to choose whether to watch a story on the big screen or directly on their phones or TVs. In this changing era, actress Kubra Sait has shared her insights, presenting a fresh perspective on the ongoing debate between film and OTT. She emphasized that emotional connection with the story and characters is paramount, regardless of the medium.
In a recent conversation, Kubra stated, “Audiences now have complete freedom to choose any medium. If a story resonates emotionally, it doesn’t matter if it’s on the big screen or an OTT platform. The real question is how deeply the audience connects with the story and its characters.”
When asked about which medium is better, film or OTT, Kubra responded, “There is no winner or loser here. They are simply different mediums. Both have their significance, and audiences choose based on their experiences.”
Kubra further elaborated, “True emotional engagement is what matters most. Whether the story is in films or on OTT, the audience’s experience determines how much they are impacted. If the story touches the heart, characters feel real, and the audience can relate, then the medium makes little difference.”
She also shared her views on the impact of social media. “Today, social media has intensified the pressure on actresses and artists regarding body standards. People blame the platforms, but in reality, we often feel insecure about ourselves. I believe that confidence and self-trust are the true safeguards.”
Kubra mentioned, “I keep my body fitness basic. If someone else maintains their fitness or looks differently, that’s their personal choice. We should stop comparing ourselves to others and focus on our own lives. Insecurity or security comes from within, not from social media.”
She concluded by stating that while artists may feel insecure due to social media or external pressures, having self-confidence can protect them from any platform’s negative influence.
