
Surajpur, March 30: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the ‘State-Level Mata Karma Jayanti Festival 2026’ on Sunday. He emphasized that the life of Mata Karma teaches us the values of service, devotion, and culture.
During a media interaction, CM Sai noted that the Sahu community organized the ‘Mata Karma Jayanti’ celebration in Surajpur, attracting a large gathering of devotees. The event was hosted by community leaders who also invited representatives from various other communities.
In a post on X, CM Sai expressed his gratitude for participating in the festival held on the sacred land of Surajpur, where he paid homage to Mata Karma. He stated that her inspiring life teaches us that service, devotion, and cultural values are the true strength of society. When we advance with these values, positive changes in society become evident. Together, we are laying a strong and prosperous foundation for a developed Chhattisgarh. He prayed for Mata Karma’s blessings to remain with everyone.
CM Sai also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi praised the community-driven water conservation efforts in Chhattisgarh’s Korea district during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program. This recognition is a matter of pride and inspiration for all. The positive changes in groundwater levels due to farmers constructing soak pits and recharge ponds demonstrate that when governance efforts involve community participation, the changes are sustainable and impactful. Our good governance government is committed to strengthening such participatory initiatives for continuous and inclusive development.
Furthermore, CM Sai highlighted that amidst global instability, India’s strength is a result of Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and robust foreign policy. The effectiveness of India’s foreign policy has ensured that, despite global uncertainties, there has been no adverse impact on the country or the state. This is why both our nation and state are on a secure, stable, and progressive path.
