Patna, April 2: Central Minister Giriraj Singh has criticized Rahul Gandhi for allegedly spreading confusion among the public regarding petrochemical products and customs duty exemptions. Singh also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in light of the upcoming assembly elections.
In a recent conversation, Singh stated, “There is a clear difference in the thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi. Under Gandhi’s leadership, the government in Himachal Pradesh raised petrol and diesel prices, while globally, petroleum prices have surged by 20 to 30 percent. However, under Modi’s leadership, India has not seen a rise in diesel and petrol prices. Additionally, the previously imposed excise duty has been reduced to zero.”
He emphasized, “As long as there is breath, there is hope. The Prime Minister is continuously working for the benefit of the people. The United States claims to have petrol and diesel but has also raised prices. Every country has increased petroleum prices. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi is misleading the public, which is not in the country’s interest. He aims to distract the people.”
Singh also criticized Mamata Banerjee regarding development and unemployment issues. He remarked, “For 15 years, Chief Minister Banerjee has failed to explain how many unemployed individuals have been given jobs, how many people have been lifted out of poverty, and how many homes have been provided. The TMC government’s corruption in teacher recruitment has been exposed, yet Banerjee remains silent on this matter. She has not responded to the proposal of providing monthly financial assistance to women in West Bengal, similar to Odisha. There is also no indication of whether she will implement the seventh pay commission for government employees. Banerjee never speaks about development or unemployment.”
