Samarkand, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : In a significant development for Indian chess, Chessveda, an integrated online chess platform, has joined forces with the Commonwealth Chess Association (CCA) to promote chess activities across Commonwealth countries. This partnership was formalized during the Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where Chessveda’s chairman, Advocate Nandan Jha, and CCA chairman Bharat Singh Chouhan were present. The event also saw the attendance of Nitin Narang, president of the All India Chess Federation, along with various chess federation heads from Commonwealth nations, grandmasters, and international masters.
Under this collaboration, Chessveda and the CCA will jointly organize chess tournaments, Olympiads, and other chess-related events within Commonwealth countries. The aim is to create more opportunities for players, organizers, coaches, and the broader chess community while strengthening the chess ecosystem throughout the Commonwealth.
Advocate Nandan Jha expressed the ambition of hosting global online chess Olympiads and significant championships. He emphasized the goal of bringing international chess opportunities to India and providing Indian talents with a platform to showcase their skills on the world stage. This partnership is expected to help Indian players demonstrate their talent internationally and elevate Indian chess to new heights.
Bharat Singh Chouhan, chairman of the Commonwealth Chess Association, expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with Chessveda.
