Mumbai, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : Gulshan Grover, famously dubbed the ‘Bad Man’ of Hindi cinema, is recognized for his portrayal of menacing villains. As he prepares to celebrate his birthday on September 21, the actor reflects on a journey marked by both triumph and struggle. Born in 1955 in Delhi, Grover has made a significant impact on the film industry, redefining the role of the antagonist with his powerful voice and acting skills.

Despite his current success, Grover’s early life was filled with challenges. There were times when he went to bed hungry, working hard to support his education by selling goods door-to-door. His family’s struggles were immense, but today, he enjoys financial stability and fame, a testament to his perseverance.

Grover’s education began in Delhi, where he nurtured a passion for acting. To pursue his dreams, he moved to Mumbai, enrolling in an acting school where he honed his craft. It was during this time that he formed a friendship with fellow actor Anil Kapoor. Grover launched his career in theater and stage shows before making his film debut in 1980 with “Hum Paanch.”

On a personal note, Grover has been married twice but finds himself alone today. He first married Philomena in 1998, but the couple divorced three years later in 2001. His second marriage to Kashish in 2003 lasted only a year before they parted ways.
