
Barsana, February 25: The vibrant festival of Holi has commenced in the sacred regions of Braj. Today, Barsana witnessed the lively celebration of Lathmar Holi. This event is not just a festival; it symbolizes the love between Nandgaon and Barsana. Devotees of Lord Krishna and Radha Rani are immersed in the colors of devotion, enjoying the festivities at the Barsana temple.
A significant crowd of devotees and revelers from Nandgaon gathered in the temple and the streets of Barsana. People from various places arrived to partake in the joyous occasion. One woman expressed her feelings, saying, “Being here feels like not just the body, but the soul is celebrating Holi. This is my first time here, and I have never experienced such a joyful Holi before. My soul is immersed in the colors of Holi, chanting Radha Rani’s name; it’s truly delightful.”
Another female devotee from Haryana shared her excitement, stating, “I had heard so much about Barsana’s Holi, and now I’ve witnessed it. Everyone is playing with vibrant colors and water. It’s a joyous experience, filled with the echoes of ‘Radhe.’ This is a special moment for me as it’s my first opportunity to celebrate Holi in Barsana.”
A different woman mentioned that she had been eagerly waiting to play Holi in Barsana and considered it a blessing to be on this sacred land. She remarked, “Until now, I had only heard about Barsana’s Holi, but experiencing it has made me incredibly happy. The people here are wonderful.”
Barsana’s Holi is world-renowned, where women, embodying Radha Rani’s friends, playfully shower the revelers with sticks.
