CBI Files Case Against Former Ordnance Factory Officer for Disproportionate Assets

New Delhi, February 28: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case concerning disproportionate assets against a former General Manager of the Ordnance Equipment Factory located in Hazratpur, Firozabad. The accused is an officer of the Indian Ordnance Factory Service (Batch 1998) and is currently stationed at the Troop Comforts Limited Training Academy in Kanpur.

According to a press release issued by the CBI on Saturday, the agency registered the case on February 26. The officer is alleged to have illegally acquired assets between April 1, 2022, and December 31, 2025. The agency discovered that the officer possessed assets worth approximately ₹55.58 lakh (73.28 percent) that he could not adequately account for.

Following the registration of the case, the CBI obtained search warrants from the court and conducted searches on February 27 at five residential and office premises in Agra, Lucknow, Bareilly, and Kanpur. During these searches, several incriminating documents related to real estate, bank passbooks, credit cards, and vehicles were seized.

The CBI reported that details of three residential properties located in Agra, Lucknow, and Bareilly were obtained during the investigation. A flat in Agra was purchased in 2025, while a flat in Lucknow was acquired in 2023. The searches also uncovered jewelry worth ₹49 lakh and ₹5 lakh in cash from the residences in Agra and Lucknow. Documents related to various expenses and investments were also confiscated during the operation.
