National Lok Adalat Resolves 1,231 Cases in Nawada

New Delhi, March 14: The National Legal Services Authority, along with the Bihar State Legal Services Authority, organized the National Lok Adalat at various locations across the state. In Nawada, the event was presided over by Ashutosh Kumar Jha, the Chief District and Sessions Judge, and Secretary Dhirendra Kumar Pandey. The Lok Adalat facilitated the resolution of various disputes through mutual agreements between the parties involved.

During the event, Judge Jha emphasized that the Lok Adalat serves as a platform where no party leaves disappointed. He encouraged more individuals to take advantage of this opportunity.

The Secretary of the Nawada District Legal Services Authority highlighted that the Lok Adalat is an effective and straightforward means to reduce the backlog of pending cases in courts. Disputes are resolved with the consent of both parties, ensuring a win-win situation for all involved.

A total of 1,231 cases were resolved during this Lok Adalat, including one telecommunications-related case and 65 cases from village courts. Additionally, various matters related to the civil court accounted for a total of 298 cases resolved.

The event was inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp, attended by Ashutosh Kumar Jha, the Assistant District Magistrate and Vice Chairman, along with other judicial officials, panel lawyers, para-legal volunteers, and staff from the District Legal Services Authority.
