Casio’s popular G-Shock GA-2100 series is set to receive a military-inspired update, according to a recent leak. The new models feature rugged camouflage designs that emphasize durability and tactical style.
The leak, reported by Casioblog, revealed two upcoming models named GA-2100CM-8A and GA-2100CM-5A. Both watches showcase utilitarian camouflage patterns suitable for outdoor and tactical use, with inverted display screens enhancing readability. The GA-2100CM-8A sports a gray and taupe-heavy camouflage, while the GA-2100CM-5A comes in desert sand tones, both designed to blend seamlessly with natural environments.
Though Casio has not officially disclosed detailed specifications, these new models are expected to maintain the core features of the GA-2100 series. This includes the Carbon Core Guard structure, which provides enhanced drop and shock resistance through a carbon-reinforced case. Additionally, the watches are likely to offer 200 metres of water resistance, making them suitable for various rugged conditions.
Other anticipated functionalities include world time across multiple zones, several daily alarms, a countdown timer, and an LED backlight for visibility in low-light situations. The G-Shock durability that has made the GA-2100 series a favourite among users is expected to continue with these new editions.
In other related developments, Casio recently introduced a nightclub-themed collection within the GA-2100K lineup and collaborated with the fashion brand Beautiful People to launch a premium G-Shock featuring a leather-like finish.
