Mumbai, March 12: Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Front-Opening Suitcase on its Xiaomi Youpin platform. Available in two sizes, 18-inch and 20-inch, the suitcase is priced at 399 yuan ($58) and 499 yuan ($72), respectively. This product is designed for frequent travelers and business users, emphasizing convenience and functionality.
The Mijia Front-Opening Suitcase features a unique front-opening compartment, allowing users to access essentials without needing to open the main storage area. This design simplifies the retrieval of items during airport security checks or meetings. The front compartment is divided into two sections: one side includes a pocket for a laptop up to 16 inches, while the other side offers quick-access storage for chargers, power banks, and cables.
Xiaomi has also designed a spacious main compartment, secured by a dual U-shaped zipper layout that prevents items from falling out when opened. It includes a wet storage layer to keep damp and dry items separate and a 1:9 deep storage design for bulkier items like winter clothing and irregularly shaped objects.
Constructed from Covestro PC material, the suitcase shell is both durable and lightweight. For added security during international travel, Xiaomi has incorporated a TSA-approved embedded lock. The 18-inch model features a single zipper, while the 20-inch version comes with a dual zipper system.

The suitcase is available in two colors: Deep Gray Silver and Distant Mountain Green. The 18-inch model has a capacity of 37.5L and weighs 3.4 kg, while the 20-inch model offers a capacity of 39L and weighs 3.7 kg.
