BJPs Tarun Chugh Criticizes SPs Record on Crime Under Akhilesh Yadav

New Delhi, March 26: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has sharply criticized Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav, stating that during the SP’s rule, criminals like Atiq Ahmed thrived. He claimed that the SP government provided protection to criminals.

In a recent conversation, Chugh pointed out that under Akhilesh Yadav’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh became a haven for mafia activities. He noted that during this “mafia raj,” extortion and illegal collections were rampant, leading to the emergence of a so-called “crime capital.” Chugh urged Yadav to reflect on the criminal history of his tenure, highlighting that law and order were virtually non-existent, allowing mafias to operate freely. He mentioned that many criminals, including notorious mafia figure Atiq Ahmed, flourished under the protection of the SP government, instilling fear in the common people of Uttar Pradesh. Chugh asserted that the current BJP government has provided a crime-free administration in the state.

Chugh also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the assembly elections. He accused her of injustice towards the victimized daughter of a medical college incident, claiming that her government made every effort to shield the guilty and suppress the case. In contrast, he stated that the BJP ensured the victim’s voice was heard in the largest panchayat of Bengal, facilitating her quest for justice. He expressed confidence that Mamata Banerjee would be ousted from power on May 4.

Regarding Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, Chugh alleged that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kejriwal misused taxpayers’ money to construct lavish interiors for his office, diverting millions of rupees meant for public welfare.

On Congress, Chugh criticized Rahul Gandhi and other leaders, claiming the party has adopted a new form of the Muslim League, focusing solely on appeasing vote banks. He accused Congress of promoting the interests of the Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami while consistently taking an anti-Sanatana stance on various issues.
