New Delhi, June 14: Manan Kumar Mishra, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has targeted opposition parties over the alleged organizational crisis within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the political activities of Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Ram Janmabhoomi donation issue. He asserted that leaders and MPs from various opposition parties are clearly witnessing the changing sentiments of the public, which is why political equations are shifting.
In an interview with a news agency, Mishra commented on the organizational changes within the TMC and the rebel MPs. He stated that if a leader has already decided to distance themselves from the party leadership, there is little point in expelling them from the party. Some leaders are either looking to join the BJP or choose an independent political path by distancing themselves from the TMC and its top leadership.
He noted that public sentiment in West Bengal is rapidly changing. The people of the state are increasingly dissatisfied with Mamata Banerjee and the TMC, making it difficult for several leaders to connect with the electorate. Some MPs are making decisions about their political futures based on the public’s feelings. If any MP wishes to join the NDA influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s leadership and BJP policies, it should be viewed as a positive development.
Regarding Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray’s call for a meeting of party MPs, Mishra remarked that the people of Maharashtra are already disillusioned with Thackeray and his associates.
He also criticized the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, stating that the public no longer trusts Congress’s leadership. This sentiment has already been reflected in electoral outcomes in states like Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal.
Responding to Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut’s claim that the BJP’s existence would end if the opposition comes to power, Mishra asserted that the BJP will continue to play a significant role in the country’s politics for a long time. He emphasized that the public does not take such statements from the opposition seriously and understands the political rhetoric directed against the BJP.
