BJPs Bansuri Swaraj Critiques Rahul Gandhis Leadership Vision

New Delhi, August 23: BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj has sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating he lacks a clear vision and positive agenda. She accused him of attempting to mislead the nation with baseless and nonsensical claims. Swaraj highlighted the steps taken under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to empower women, questioning Congress’s assertions on women’s empowerment.

In a conversation, Swaraj emphasized that Gandhi’s absence of a vision and constructive agenda leads him to confuse the public. She reminded him that PM Modi is the leader who has prioritized women’s leadership in building a developed India.

Swaraj noted that over 50% of bank accounts opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana belong to women. Additionally, two-thirds of loans under the Mudra scheme have been granted to female entrepreneurs. More than ten million women have been liberated from smoke-filled lives through free cylinders provided under the Ujjwala scheme. The first graduate batch of NDA cadets also emerged during PM Modi’s tenure.

She pointed out that India ranks third globally in the startup ecosystem, with women playing key roles in 48% of these ventures. This progress is possible because PM Modi does not view ‘women empowerment’ merely as a political slogan. He has instituted a 33% reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies to promote their empowerment in politics.

Swaraj directly questioned Gandhi, asking why he did not allow the Nari Shakti Vandan Act to be implemented if he genuinely supports women’s empowerment. She accused him of letting the bill fail in the house.

She concluded that for Congress and Rahul Gandhi, women’s empowerment is merely a slogan. They do not wish for women to become independent decision-makers or take on leadership roles, aiming instead to confine women’s roles to that of mere voters at polling stations.
