BJP to Stage Nationwide Protests Against Kharges Comments on Modis Father

The BJP plans nationwide protests against Congress leader Kharges remarks about PM Modis father, calling them offensive and unacceptable.

New Delhi, October 26 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a series of nationwide protests in response to remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late father. The party described Kharge’s comments as “insulting, rude, and objectionable.”

According to a statement from the BJP, demonstrations will take place at all state headquarters across the country on Monday. These protests are a direct reaction to Kharge’s comments made in Patna, which the BJP claims are highly inappropriate and an attack on the dignity of the Prime Minister’s family.

BJP leaders stated that Kharge’s remarks have crossed the boundaries of political discourse, transforming what should be a discussion on governance and policy into a personal attack. They emphasized that targeting the family members of political leaders reflects a troubling decline in public debate.

The party has instructed its state units to conduct peaceful yet firm protests in front of state party offices. A significant turnout of party workers and leaders is anticipated to express their strong opposition.

BJP spokespersons have indicated that these protests will send a clear message that such comments will not be tolerated. Senior BJP leaders are demanding an unconditional apology from Kharge, arguing that political differences should not devolve into personal insults. They stressed the importance of maintaining basic standards of civility and mutual respect in public life within a democracy.

On the other hand, the Congress party has yet to provide any immediate clarification regarding the issue. As tensions between the two major parties escalate, the upcoming protests signal that the BJP is taking this matter very seriously. All eyes will be on the scale of the protests and the potential political repercussions from both sides in the days to come.
