BJP Set to Win Again in 2027, Claims Keshav Prasad Maurya

Kanpur, June 17: Uttar Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday. He asserted that after the 2027 assembly elections, the SP’s political influence will diminish, similar to the situation faced by the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Maurya confidently stated that the BJP will form the government for the third consecutive time, citing growing public support for development, good governance, and law and order.

Addressing a conference organized by the BJP for the educated class, Maurya noted that regional parties across various states are facing an existential crisis. He claimed that the SP’s influence will also be limited post-2027, shrinking its political reach significantly.

Maurya emphasized that whether the SP, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), and Congress contest separately or form an alliance, the BJP will secure a record victory. He criticized the opposition for lacking a positive agenda to present to the public, accusing them of merely spreading confusion.

Targeting the SP leadership, the Deputy Chief Minister urged party leaders to remove their ‘Saifai glasses’ and acknowledge the developmental work happening in other districts of the state. He highlighted unprecedented changes in expressways, investments, employment, infrastructure, and law and order, which the opposition refuses to recognize.

In response to questions regarding alleged irregularities in donations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Maurya stated that there is no question of corruption in temple construction or related activities. He assured that if anyone misuses the funds from devotees, the law will take its course, and they will face the consequences of their actions.

Maurya also mentioned that the BJP government has taken decisive steps to strengthen law and order in the state. The impact of campaigns against crime and mafia activities is visible on the ground, enhancing citizens’ sense of security.

He concluded by stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has gained a new identity in development and good governance. This is why public trust in the BJP continues to grow.
