New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating 25 years of public service, which includes his tenure as both Gujarat’s Chief Minister and the country’s Prime Minister. In response, BJP MP Sandeep Pathak emphasized the importance of this occasion, stating that it reflects not just a program but a testament to Modi’s commitment to serving the nation.
Pathak highlighted Modi’s dedication over the years, noting the substantial development projects initiated in Gujarat. Since becoming Prime Minister, Modi has focused on digitization, empowering farmers, fostering self-reliance in the defense sector, and advancing science and technology.
He specifically pointed to the Jan Dhan Yojana and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) programs as pivotal in transforming banking access across the country. Previously, many citizens lacked bank accounts, but these initiatives have enabled direct transfers of government benefits into people’s accounts, significantly reducing corruption and promoting the use of technology. Pathak remarked that Modi’s small yet foundational steps have contributed to the nation’s development, with discussions now centered on achieving a developed India by 2047.
Addressing ongoing political opposition related to the voter list cleanup process, Pathak criticized rival parties for attempting to create chaos as they struggle to win elections. He argued that the voter list cleansing process should not cause concern, as it has been a standard procedure in the past. He questioned the objections raised against organizing the voter list.
Pathak also referenced the Congress party’s recent defeat in Haryana, suggesting it should reflect on its electoral performance. He contended that issues within Congress, rather than the Systematic Voter’s List (SVL), are to blame for their losses. He pointed out inconsistencies in how parties react to the voter list, claiming that discrepancies are only raised when they lose.
Additionally, he mentioned the recent local body elections in Patiala, Punjab, which were annulled by the High Court due to alleged irregularities during the Aam Aadmi Party’s governance. He used this case to illustrate potential electoral fraud and vote theft.
On the topic of the India alliance’s protests, Pathak remarked that coalitions lacking ideological unity are unlikely to succeed. He urged opposition parties to remain committed to their issues and fulfill their role responsibly, asserting that political opportunities will continue to arise, but success cannot be achieved through such fragmented alliances.
