Gonda, June 18: BJP MP Karan Bhushan Singh has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding donations for the Ram Temple. He emphasized the need for a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter. Singh stated that strict action should be taken against anyone found guilty.
Regarding the management and roles of individuals associated with the Ram Temple, Singh remarked, “It is up to the concerned parties to decide who will remain in this arrangement. I prefer not to comment extensively on this, but it is essential to retain those who have been involved previously.”
He noted that the maintenance and management of the temple and its related activities have been conducted properly since the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the demolition of the structure.
Addressing concerns over the delay in filing an FIR, Singh mentioned that he had already discussed this issue with the media on Wednesday. He pointed out that the opposition has been questioning the reasons behind the delay in registering the FIR.
“The FIR is delayed because the government wants to ensure that only one person is not held accountable while others escape responsibility. Everyone involved must be held fully accountable,” Singh stated.
He insisted that no guilty party should be spared. “I want to stress that anyone involved should not evade justice. The action must be stringent. Whether the punishment is life imprisonment or another severe penalty, the guilty must be penalized,” he asserted.
Singh also highlighted that the government is actively working in this direction and that the investigation is progressing. He acknowledged the sentiments of the devotees, saying, “If someone donates to God with faith and devotion, and another person steals that offering, it is utterly wrong and condemnable.” He assured that a fair investigation will take place, ensuring strict action against the culprits.
