Ahmedabad, March 18: BJP leader Rohan Gupta commented on the resignation of former Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi, attributing it to the party’s court culture. In a discussion in Ahmedabad, Gupta stated that numerous prominent leaders have previously left the party. Each time a leader resigns, instead of addressing their concerns, Congress has criticized them and put them in the spotlight. “How many more will Congress put on trial?” he questioned, labeling the party as a ‘court of courtiers.’ He asserted that whenever dissent arises against the courtiers, they are shown the exit.
Gupta emphasized that Bordoloi’s resignation is not an isolated incident but a reflection of Congress’s declining credibility. Experienced leaders are gradually departing the party. Many have expressed feeling sidelined due to a lack of communication with the high command and the prevailing court culture. Currently, decisions are made behind closed doors rather than by grassroots leaders, silencing dedicated workers and senior members. Consequently, Congress appears to be hollowing out and disintegrating, raising concerns about public trust in a party that its own leaders no longer believe in.
Regarding the LPG crisis, Gupta stated that the government is managing the situation with sensitivity. Despite conflicts in the Middle East, India remains the only country where petrol prices have not increased, while other nations have seen price hikes. He attributed the surge in LPG bookings from 5 million to 8.8 million to the opposition’s panic button. The government has prioritized the safety of its citizens without engaging in political theatrics.
He concluded by highlighting that while the world grapples with uncertainties and crises, India is advancing with determination and leadership. The ‘Jag Ladki’ tanker, flying the Indian flag at Mundra Port, symbolizes not just the arrival of 80,886 MT of crude oil but also conveys a message of confidence in India’s energy security under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. This tanker represents a new India that prioritizes the needs of its 1.4 billion citizens and forges its own path amidst challenges.
