BJP Leader Rohan Gupta Criticizes TMC for Corruption and Political Opportunism

Ahmedabad, June 24: BJP leader Rohan Gupta has responded to a recent CAG report regarding the government of Mamata Banerjee. In an interview with a news agency on Wednesday, Gupta stated that accountability is essential for the wrongdoings committed. The CAG report highlighted the absence of a utilization certificate, which Gupta insists the TMC must address. He emphasized that TMC stands for appeasement, lawlessness, and corruption. Gupta asserted that those who have misappropriated public funds must return the money to the people, as only then will the truth be revealed. The BJP is committed to pursuing this matter.

Additionally, Gupta commented on the NEET examination controversy. He accused the Congress party of exploiting incidents for political gain. He questioned the Congress’s sensitivity when three students were unable to take the exam during their tenure. “Where was Rahul Gandhi then? Why didn’t he release a video addressing the issue?” Gupta asked, criticizing the double standards in political discourse. He noted that during Congress’s rule in Rajasthan, 14 papers were leaked, yet the party failed to take responsibility.

Gupta asserted that the BJP prioritizes students’ futures. “Our government works for students’ interests, and we will not compromise on this issue,” he stated. He challenged those politicizing the matter, questioning their inconsistent stance.

Regarding Maulana Madani, Gupta remarked that Madani often makes controversial statements to gain political attention. However, he believes the Muslim community has become more discerning and no longer prioritizes such figures. He emphasized that Muslims in India enjoy various rights and must not be labeled as infiltrators. Gupta declared that the era of appeasement politics is over, and now only merit-based politics should prevail.

He also criticized the Congress party for its dual political strategies. Gupta claimed that the public does not trust Congress due to its inconsistent approach, which is evident in their governance. He pointed out that when statistics are released, there is no need for anyone to explain the government’s performance. India ranks eighth in exports, with an 8% GDP growth rate, and inflation is under control. However, he noted that the opposition often dismisses these figures when it suits them.

Gupta concluded by questioning the opposition’s credibility, asking if the statistics released by the government are incorrect. He urged the public to recognize the progress India is making, even in challenging circumstances.
