BJP Leader Criticizes Mamata Banerjee Over FIR for Hate Speech

Patna, June 13: Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi has sharply reacted to the FIR against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee concerning a hate speech case. He stated that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has sinned against the people of Bengal over the past 15 years, and it is essential to atone for these wrongdoings.

In an interview, Sarawagi remarked, “The communal language used is unfortunate. The TMC has betrayed the people of Bengal through corruption and alleged extortion under the guise of ‘cut money’ over the last 15 years. It is only natural that the law will take its course.”

He further noted, “You may have observed that police and CID teams have been continuously visiting Abhishek Banerjee’s residence for questioning. Therefore, atonement for these wrongs is necessary. The public has taken their revenge and cleared the TMC from Bengal. This has caused panic among TMC representatives.”

Regarding the rebel MPs from TMC, Sarawagi stated, “The extent of corruption and looting under the pretext of cut money in West Bengal is a sin committed by Mamata Banerjee against the public. She will have to face the consequences of this sin. Consequently, the rebel MPs want to meet the Lok Sabha Speaker and have formally requested separate seating arrangements.”

Sarawagi also mentioned that over 60 MLAs have separated from TMC, with a leader of the opposition being declared. This clearly indicates a state of chaos within the TMC. Now, MPs, MLAs, and councilors from TMC feel they cannot win elections under the party symbol.

In a related note, following the cancellation of Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination in Madhya Pradesh, Sarawagi commented, “You can say anything, but the BJP has won all three Rajya Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. If there are pending cases against you and you try to hide them, it is natural for the returning officer to reject your nomination.”
