BJP Expresses Condolences Over IIT Bombay Students Death, Calls for Investigation

Mumbai, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed its condolences on Saturday regarding the tragic death of a student at IIT Bombay. The party described the incident as heartbreaking and emphasized that the cause of death would only be clarified after a thorough investigation.

The student was found dead on Friday evening in the Powai campus of IIT Bombay. This incident occurred after authorities caught him using a mobile phone during an examination.

Identified as Sahil Wakode, the student hailed from Yavatmal district in Maharashtra and was in his second year studying Energy Science and Engineering at the prestigious institution.

BJP leader Ram Kadam remarked that it is devastating for a promising student to take his own life. He stated that the reasons behind the reported suicide and the circumstances leading to this tragic decision would only emerge following an investigation.

Kadam also commented on the ongoing developments in the case of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager, Disha Salian. He expressed sorrow over a father losing his daughter, noting that it took the CBI over six years to register a case. Recently, the father has directly accused Aditya Thackeray, questioning the actions of his government, which had labeled the incident a suicide.

He poignantly reflected on the emotional turmoil a father experiences when he raises a child, only to see them at a funeral. Kadam criticized those dismissing the father’s quest for justice as mere theatrics, urging Thackeray and his family to respond to the father’s demands for accountability.
