Ravneet Bittu was detained in Ludhiana while protesting against CM Bhagwant Mann, following an earlier attack on his convoy.

Ludhiana, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Former Union Minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu was detained on Saturday in Ludhiana while protesting against Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. This demonstration came just a day after Bittu’s convoy was attacked.
Bittu, accompanied by his supporters, gathered near the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) gate to stage a protest as Mann’s convoy passed by. He was seen holding tomatoes, eggs, and a small bottle of alcohol during the demonstration.
The Chief Minister was in Ludhiana to attend an event. Police present at the scene intervened to prevent Bittu and his supporters from approaching Mann’s convoy. As the situation escalated, Bittu displayed the tomatoes and alcohol bottles towards the convoy. After a prolonged standoff, police detained him once Mann’s convoy had passed.
Bittu stated that his actions were an attempt to express his dissent. He also warned that BJP workers would continue to protest against Aam Aadmi Party leaders in other states.
Regarding the case filed against him, Bittu claimed he would not be intimidated. He alleged that an attack on him occurred under the pretext of a religious event the previous day. He questioned why he was facing legal action when no charges had been filed against others involved.
On Friday, Bittu’s convoy was attacked in Batala, where assailants threw eggs and tomatoes at his vehicle. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party of orchestrating the attack and claimed to have identified three of the attackers.
Bittu was en route to participate in a BJP campaign against drugs when the incident occurred near Ghaseetpur village in Batala. He reported that the assault resulted in broken windows on his vehicle, with some attackers reportedly armed.
