Patna, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Tensions are escalating within the ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) in Bihar as a verbal clash unfolds between Mokama MLA Anant Singh and the party’s chief spokesperson, Neeraj Kumar. Kumar reacted strongly to Singh’s criticisms, stating that he never bows before individuals with criminal backgrounds.
In an interview, Kumar emphasized, “When it comes to those involved in the criminal world of politics, I do not bow down to anyone, regardless of their religion or community. Our history is glorious. I was born by the Ganges. We are made of fire and water, and this is Mokama. If you try to intimidate us, the public will respond.”
Kumar did not hold back, referring to Singh as a “papad wrestler” and challenged him to take any allegations to court. He quipped, “Where is this ‘papad wrestler’? I said if you are accusing me, go file a case. He can’t even pronounce ‘narco test’ properly.”
In another statement, Kumar labeled Singh as the chief guest of a “Mahamurkh Sammelan” (Great Fool Conference), suggesting that such an event should be graced by someone who has spent time in Beur Jail.
Kumar also highlighted the dignity of the Bihar Legislative Council, mentioning that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been a member while serving as CM, and others like Samrat Chaudhary and Rabri Devi have held significant positions there as well. He criticized Singh, stating, “What does this poor fellow have? He is a figure of sympathy in politics. He doesn’t even know how to write ‘Assembly’ or ‘Legislative Council’. Hence, when there’s a ‘Mahamurkh Sammelan’, he should be its chief guest.”
Kumar accused Singh of being anti-backward class (EBC), recalling the 2019 elections when Singh’s wife was elected. He questioned Singh’s intentions, saying, “You were planning something while going to Ayodhya. Everyone else is still here, while this person sits in Beur Jail.”
Kumar claimed that Singh himself acknowledged that a ticket for an EBC candidate was cut. “What does that mean? He is anti-EBC, and anyone who does not accept Nitish Kumar’s leadership will be considered a political traitor,” he concluded.
