New Delhi, March 5: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced his nomination to the Rajya Sabha, receiving warm congratulations from his NDA allies, including BJP and LJP (Ram Vilas). Union Minister Giriraj Singh stated that the government in Bihar will continue to operate according to Kumar’s wishes.
Giriraj Singh remarked, “Three years ago, Nitish Kumar expressed his desire to go to the Rajya Sabha. No one can send him there; he has gone on his own accord. The government will continue to function as per his wishes.”
Chirag Paswan, leader of LJP (Ram Vilas), took to social media platform X to extend his heartfelt congratulations, saying, “Chief Minister, congratulations on your nomination to the Rajya Sabha from the NDA alliance. I am confident that your experience, dedication, and spirit of public service will strengthen the interests of the nation and society in the upper house of Parliament.”

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha expressed his congratulations on X, stating, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on being declared the JD(U) candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections 2026. Your visionary leadership and strong tradition of good governance serve as an inspiration for the entire country. Your balanced decisions and commitment to public welfare have given Bihar a new identity. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP leader Babulal Marandi commented, “Nitish Kumar has been at the center of Bihar’s politics for the past three to four decades.
