Lucknow, March 15: Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), paid tribute to the party’s founder, Kanshiram, on his birth anniversary. She emphasized that Kanshiram dedicated his entire life to advancing the thoughts and movements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, Mayawati stated, “On the birth anniversary of Kanshiram, the founder of the Bahujan Samaj Party, I extend heartfelt tributes on behalf of his followers across Uttar Pradesh and the entire nation. Kanshiram tirelessly worked to keep the ideology and movement of Baba Saheb Ambedkar alive, dedicating his life to the mission of reaching power.”
She further praised Kanshiram’s historical contribution to uniting marginalized communities under the banner of ‘Bahujan Samaj.’ Mayawati reiterated the commitment to strengthen the BSP’s movement for ‘social change and economic liberation’ with determination and to achieve electoral success.
Mayawati urged the Bahujan community to join the BSP movement, become dedicated and honest Ambedkarites, and use their voting power to obtain the ‘master key’ to power. She stated that this would enable the implementation of the rights provided by Baba Saheb in the Constitution for the welfare, upliftment, and dignity of the Bahujan people.
She concluded by expressing that achieving this would free the Bahujan community from a life of servitude and helplessness, allowing them to live better and happier lives, which was also Kanshiram’s mission and life message.
Meanwhile, Chandrashekhar, the leader of the Bhim Army Party, also paid tribute to Kanshiram on his birth anniversary. He wrote, “Kanshiram Sahib, your noble deeds have awakened the sleeping community.” He added, “On the birth anniversary of the Bahujan leader Kanshiram, I extend my heartfelt tributes and best wishes to everyone on the sixth foundation day of the Azaad Samaj Party (Kanshiram).”
