
Patna, April 15: Samrat Chaudhary took the oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Wednesday at Lok Bhawan. Alongside him, two Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Chaudhary and Vijendra Yadav, also took their oaths. Following his appointment, Chaudhary was welcomed at the Bihar BJP office by state president Sanjay Sarawagi.
After the ceremony, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary addressed the media, stating, “Today, I have taken the oath for the prosperity of Bihar. I will begin working for Bihar from this day forward. It is clear that only the models of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar will prevail in Bihar.”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary emphasized the new government’s clear goals. He stated, “Our new Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has reiterated our commitment to continue on the path of development, good governance, and inclusive growth established by Nitish Kumar. We are dedicated to fulfilling the promise of a prosperous Bihar. The NDA government is in power, as it has been before, so there is no cause for concern.”
In response to a statement made by Tejashwi Yadav regarding Samrat Chaudhary, the Deputy Chief Minister remarked, “Ask him which school he attended. Inquire about his graduation.”
He also mentioned that the initiative for women’s reservation has already begun, crediting Nitish Kumar for this achievement.
After the oath-taking ceremony, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi praised Chaudhary, stating, “He is very capable and experienced. He has previously been part of our cabinet. The Patna Metro is our concept, and we had sent him to Delhi to bring this project to fruition, which has been successfully advanced.”
BJP national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain expressed, “It is fortunate for the BJP to hold the Chief Minister’s position in the NDA. This NDA government will continue the work initiated by Nitish Kumar.”
BJP leader Ramkripal Yadav congratulated Chaudhary on his new role, expressing confidence that under his leadership, Bihar will progress and realize the dreams of Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar.
BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi stated, “Under Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary’s leadership, Bihar will move forward. Heartfelt congratulations.” RLM leader Upendra Kushwaha added, “Samrat Chaudhary has been entrusted with a significant responsibility, and we all stand with him to ensure the government functions effectively.”
Congress leader Ajit Sharma extended his best wishes to Chaudhary, hoping he will meet public expectations like Nitish Kumar and advance Bihar, especially since his party holds power at both the center and state levels.
JDU leader Leshi Singh remarked, “This is not just a BJP Chief Minister but one elected by the NDA. The previous NDA government is now reinstated. The elections were fought on a common manifesto, and the promises made will be fulfilled.”
JDU Bihar state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha congratulated Chaudhary, stating he will work to advance the achievements and governance model of Nitish Kumar.
BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy noted, “In today’s significant change, if there is any sacrifice, decision, or vision, it primarily belongs to Nitish Kumar. He has carved a unique place in the politics of Bihar and India for the 140 million people.”
BJP MLA Maithili Thakur called it a historic day, congratulating Chaudhary on assuming his new responsibilities. “We all stand with him. All NDA members are fully prepared to work together under his guidance.”
BJP leader Dilip Kumar Jaiswal stated, “After being elected leader of the NDA legislative party, Samrat Chaudhary took the oath of office today. With Nitish Kumar’s blessings and guidance, Bihar will progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.”
BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal remarked, “This is a generational change. The example set by Nitish Kumar over the past 21 years will now be carried forward by Samrat Chaudhary.”
BJP MP Radhamohan Singh noted, “Until 2004, Bihar’s situation remained unchanged. After that, the government formed under Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi led Bihar on the path of development, transforming it from a ‘Bimaru’ state to a prosperous one. Now, under Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Chaudhary and Vijendra Yadav, the pace of development in Bihar will accelerate.”
