Patna, 1 September (Kiran News) – In a major boost to rail connectivity and passenger convenience, Bihar is set to receive two new Vande Bharat Express trains as a special gift from the central government. These new routes promise to make travel faster, easier, and more comfortable for thousands of daily commuters in the state.

Patna–Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express: Route and Benefits

One of the newly announced Vande Bharat Express trains will operate between Patna and Ayodhya. The train will travel via Pataliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Bapudham Motihari, Sugauli, Bettiah, Narkatiaganj, Bagha, Siswa Bazaar, Gorakhpur, Basti, and Ayodhya Dham. Covering approximately 565 kilometers in just seven hours and forty-five minutes, this route will offer a swift and direct link for passengers from North Bihar and Patna to the holy city of Ayodhya Dham.

Purnia–Danapur Vande Bharat Express: Route and Connectivity

The second Vande Bharat Express will connect Purnia with Danapur. This train will run via Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Hasanpur Road, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, and Pataliputra, as previously announced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. The new service will bring rapid and comfortable connectivity to Patna, significantly benefiting travelers from the Seemanchal and North Bihar regions.

Timetable and Expected Launch

While the official timetable for both trains is yet to be announced, railway sources indicate that operations are likely to begin before the upcoming assembly elections. This move is expected to provide a significant boost and much-needed convenience to Bihar’s railway passengers during the crucial election period.

Existing Vande Bharat Service in Bihar

It is important to note that the Vande Bharat Express already operates between Gorakhpur and Patliputra under the North Eastern Railway. This train connects Gorakhpur and Patna via Bagaha, Bettiah, Motihari, and Muzaffarpur, and has seen a steady increase in passenger numbers since its launch.
