
New Delhi, February 17: The Bihar Pavilion was inaugurated on Tuesday at the ongoing India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026 in the national capital.
Present at the event were Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Minister Dilip Jaiswal, and Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh. Bihar is showcasing its AI capabilities and technological vision on this global platform.
According to the state government, Bihar is advancing its identity as an emerging IT and AI hub in Eastern India. The summit is being held at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, 2026. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the event on February 16. Through this platform, Bihar is promoting its ‘Bihar Semiconductor Policy 2026’ and ‘Bihar GCC Policy 2026,’ while seeking investment opportunities with global tech companies.
The summit features participation from 13 countries, including Australia, Japan, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and several African nations. Over 300 curated pavilions are based on three main themes: People, Planet, and Progress. Additionally, more than 600 high-potential startups are showcasing their AI models, solutions, and technologies with global impact. Experts view this as a strong indicator of India’s rapidly growing AI economy.
On the second day of the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of linking science and technology to public welfare. He stated that intelligence, reasoning, and sound decision-making are what make technological research beneficial for society. Citing a Sanskrit verse, he highlighted that the desire to listen, attentive listening, understanding, reasoning, and decision-making are foundational qualities of intelligence.
