Bihar Administration on High Alert Amid Protests Over Teacher Recruitment Delays

Patna, May 19: The Patna administration has issued a stern warning to coaching institute operators and teachers in light of rising concerns over potential student protests regarding delays in the announcement of vacancies for the Teacher Recruitment Examination-4.

According to official sources, intelligence reports indicated that students were preparing for large-scale demonstrations around Patna College.

In response, the district administration went into alert mode and convened a high-level meeting at the Bahadurpur police station. Key officials, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional Superintendent of Police, and Station House Officer, attended the meeting alongside several prominent teachers and coaching center operators.

During the meeting, the administration made it clear that any involvement of teachers or coaching operators in the protests would lead to strict action. Officials emphasized that maintaining law and order is a collective responsibility and warned against any attempts to incite or support student movements.

Teacher Guru Rahman, who was present at the meeting, confirmed the administration’s firm stance. He stated that teachers are committed to their roles and will not engage in any activities that disrupt the academic environment.

Officials also sought information regarding the coaching schedule. Teachers informed them that classes typically run from 9 AM to 4 PM. The administration advised them to keep students fully engaged during these hours and suggested strategies to prevent student participation in protests.

Meanwhile, dissatisfaction among candidates is growing. Many unemployed youth have been waiting for the notification regarding Teacher Recruitment Examination-4 for a long time and have repeatedly accused the government of delays despite assurances.
