Bengaluru Open 2026 Set to Tee Off with ₹1 Crore Prize Fund

Bengaluru, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : The Bengaluru Open 2026 is scheduled to take place at the Karnataka Golf Association from September 22 to 25. This prestigious tournament boasts a prize fund of ₹1 crore.

A total of 132 golfers will participate, including 131 professionals and one amateur. Notable Indian professionals in the lineup include Saptak Talwar, the current leader of the DP World PGTI Order of Merit, along with Hani Basoya, Veer Ahlawat, Akshay Sharma, Rashid Khan, and Khalin Joshi.

Saptak Talwar and Veer Ahlawat, both sponsored by IndianOil, will also represent India at the upcoming Asian Games in Japan. They will be joined by last year’s DP World PGTI Order of Merit champion, Yuvraj Sandhu.

In addition to local talent Khalin Joshi, other prominent Bengaluru professionals include Chikkarangappa S, Akshay Neranjan, Manoj S, Mari Muthu R, and Varun Muthappa. The local amateur player is Tanish R Goud.

International competitors will include Sri Lankans N. Thangaraja and Mithun Perera, Thailand’s Tanapat Pitchaikool, Czech Republic’s Stepan Danek, Nepal’s Subhash Tamang, Bangladesh’s Mohammad Akbar Hossain, Uganda’s Joshua Seal, Japan’s Koichiro Ishika and Taiga Tanaka, American players Koichiro Sato and Dominic Pisirilo, South Africa’s Gerhardus Jacobus Pepler, Ireland’s Declan Kenny, and Canada’s Sukraj Singh Gill.
